I grew up across the Midwest, living in Minnesota, Indiana, Wyoming, and Michigan, where I learned the value of hard work and homegrown goodness. As a 10-year 4-H member, I developed a love for horses, pigs, and the farm-to-table lifestyle. Summers were spent blanching and freezing sweet corn and canning homegrown tomatoes with my family—a tradition that still inspires my cooking today.
As a graduate of both Le Cordon Bleu and Purdue University, I blend a hands-on, creative approach with technical precision. My culinary passion lies in European cuisine, especially baking, but I also find joy in honoring mid-west American traditions. Whether I’m crafting delicate pastries or hearty comfort foods, I aim to create meals that bring people together.
Now a 46-year-old mother to a 7-year-old who loves mid-west dishes, I celebrate the diversity of flavors in our home, combining European influences with family favorites. When I’m not in the kitchen, I enjoy knitting, reading, biking, photography, and spending quality time with my family. I believe in teaching through food, inspiring children to find joy in cooking and appreciate its universal power to connect us all.
